Things To Do In Hilton Head

With plenty of things to do around Hilton Head SC, Captains Walk and Palmetto Dunes Resort, it can be a lot to take in. I have made a list of some of our favorites things to do in Hilton Head. This Captains Walk oceanfront condo sits in the heart of Hilton Head and Palmetto Dunes Resort which makes it easy to enjoy many of these things to do around the island of Hilton Head.

Around the resort you visit the private beach anytime. Bring your own beach chairs, toys and towels. The beach area has a lifeguard on duty during the day who not only look out for your safety but also rent umbrella beach chairs and some water gear.

Bring your own fishing gear or rent from Hilton Head Outfitters on resort to fish the 11 mile lagoon or from the surf at the beach. Standard Atlantic Ocean fish to be caught and in the lagoon you can find flounder, redfish and black drum to name a few. Recommend braid line on the lagoon and you don't need a big fishing pole to land some strong fighting redfish. At the beach a pompano rig for the ocean with a pyramid weight with 8 foot and up rod will land you some fun stuff.

3 championship golf courses on the resort and many more around the island will get your golf fix for the week. 26 Tennis and Pickleball courts with times that can be rented. With all the bike trails around you can pretty much get anywhere on your bike. Hilton Head fits active lifestyle and laid back beach approach too.

Stop by the Dunes House, Alexanders, HH Prime or Big Jim's BBQ on Palmetto Dunes Resort for a bite to eat. The General Store also has food and snacks. Off resort some of our favorites include The Crazy Crab, Skull Creek Boathouse, A Lowcountry Backyard, Frankie Bones, One Hot Mama's.

Visit Shelter Cove to see some live music or see some fireworks. Have some other places of interest listed below for smaller to bigger kids to enjoy. Miniature Golf, Pirate Experience, Dolphin Cruises, Charter Fishing on Lagoon or the Ocean, Playgrounds Indoor/Outdoor, Museum for Kids and many more.
